In this new series, based on the natural landscape my aim is to imbue the works with a kind of supernatural brilliance, reflecting an existence beyond the physical and our immediate senses, which transforms them into objects of veneration and infuses with a direct and immediate light that converts and transfigures said works into studies or meditations on ones corporeal and spiritual place and position. In the production of these works I use the photographic process in conjunction with computer manipulation. The Landscapes as depicted do not exist in reality but are constructed from a series of separate shots of Landscape features, in this instance from various locations within the north of Ireland and India, which are then merged and manipulated to produce the final image.
