Doris Rohr’s research is concerned with the private dimension of rituals of remembrance and loss, immanent or manifested in their public display and placement. Her visual practice is concerned with tactility, process, and engagement with objects, materiality and its culture and history.

Drawing has a special place as a foundational practice of visual thinking; moreover as a sourcing tool, it allows the possibility to connect different strata of time, memory and place in a poetic way.
